Join us on Thursday, May 12 at 11 AM for a press conference in Annapolis where we will announce which candidates have signed onto our Climate Justice Resolution.
We plan to live-stream the conference on social media while also inviting the press to attend. We will explain the importance of the Climate Justice Resolution and publicly announce the candidates and organizations who have signed on to the Resolution's shared vision of climate justice.
This vision includes a Maryland with 100% clean electricity by 2035 (without incentives for burning trash), investments in underserved communities, and increased access to clean transportation as well as strong labor provisions applied to large clean-energy projects.
WHAT: At this press conference environmental, justice, and labor activists will reveal the 100-plus candidates and 70 organizations who have signed a commitment to 100% clean power. Gubernatorial campaign representatives will also speak out in support of the Maryland Climate Justice Resolution.
