When it comes to tackling climate change in Virginia, vehicle pollution is our biggest obstacle. We can get the biggest bang for our buck to reduce emissions in the short-term by shifting people from single-occupancy vehicles to public transit. That means investing in pedestrian and transit infrastructure that makes transit attractive and safe for riders.

SB1326 would move existing dollars towards bus and pedestrian infrastructure – sidewalks, coverings for bus stops, and other basic items that are sadly lacking in many transit corridors in Virginia.
