Major manufacturers are quickly phasing in electric vehicles, and some have all-electric commitments as soon as 2030. But right now, charging infrastructure and federal dollars are mostly directed to major highway corridors and urban areas. To ensure that people can continue to comfortably travel around and visit every corner of the Commonwealth, the state needs to prioritize creating charging stations in our scenic and rural regions. That’s what HB107, the rural electric vehicle program, would do.
