Rejoin RGGI

The Virginia House of Delegates included language in their budget that says state agencies “must immediately take all actions necessary to rejoin the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative and continue participating therein.”

Unfortunately, the Virginia Senate did not include this language. But the House and Senate will need to reconcile their different budgets through a “conference” process. That means that the final budget can still include re-joining RGGI.

Session is almost over, and clean air can’t wait.
