Get mad! BGE and Washington Gas just killed the Better Buildings Act. Tell your legislators it’s outrageous that gas-addicted utilities dictate climate policy in Annapolis. It’s time for electric buildings and an end to gas combustion in new homes.

The Better Buildings Act was supposed to be “low-hanging fruit” during this year’s 90-day Maryland General Assembly session. It would simply require – like Washington, DC, and New York state and Washington state – that new commercial and residential buildings in Maryland include clean-energy heat pumps for hot water and winter heating. It SAVES money on construction and dramatically reduces greenhouse gasses.

Tell Your State Legislators to Stop Letting Gas Utilities Dictate Climate Policy in Annapolis!

This email will be sent to your Maryland state senator and delegates in Annapolis.
