Affordable Solar Act Crossover Update

The Affordable Solar Act, a bill that would INCREASE solar deployment in Maryland while LOWERING the cost to ratepayers, is now in danger of dying. The biggest reason? Last-minute questions from the Public Service Commission – which are easy to address – caused the House to miss a key legislative deadline known as “crossover.”

The next step? Senate President Bill Ferguson can and should save The Affordable Solar Act in his chamber especially since the Chair of the PSC has said, “I have no fundamental problem with the bill.
